Three Things YOU Can Do To Help Our Urban Forest!

  1. Plant a tree! Most front or back yards have plenty of room for trees, so ask your parents if they'll plant a tree to help our urban forest grow. Fruit trees like plum or fig make delicious fruit to eat, and lemon trees produce sweet smelling flowers before they make lemons. Discover which tree is right for you to plant.
  2. Help take care of the street trees on your street. If you have a newly planted tree in front of your house, make sure it gets enough water during the dry season. Once a tree becomes mature and big, it doesn't need as much watering.

  3. Volunteer to help our city trees. Contact Friends of the Urban Forest to learn more about ways you can help them plant trees in your neighborhood and other areas of our city.
