A Living Classroom

Many schools in San Francisco have gardens. Whether growing apples, lettuce, lavender or strawberries, school gardens are a wonderful opportunity to teach students about the cycles of nature and how the miracle of life can flourish under our care. Students learn so much when working in a garden, that gardens are often called “living classrooms.”
