Pests.
Plants aren’t the only things that live in gardens;
pests live there too! Although all organisms have a role in
nature, when they are found out of place, they are considered
pests. In a garden, pests will often eat the weak or young
plants and tend to leave the healthy ones alone. So, the best
thing you can do to protect your garden is to keep your plants
healthy by giving them the things they need such as water,
sunlight and nutrients. If insects continue to munch your
garden, try picking pests like snails out by hand, spraying
aphids with soapy water, or setting sticky traps for slugs.
Some people use poisonous chemical sprays to kill pests, but
those sprays can also kill good insects like ladybugs, harm
birds, and eventually pollute our water and land.
